E-Mail Support
CorINFO provides an integral e-mail application that enables Kiosk users to easily send electronic messages to any valid address using the SMTP protocol, to check/download their e-mail messages residing on any POP3 server or to print a copy of their e-mail messages to the local printer.
CorINFO never stores on the hardware any temporary or permanent copies of the users’ information (eg. messages, passwords, addresses, etc.) in order to secure their privacy. In addition, CorINFO automatically blocks all the e-mail attachments in order to prevent possible security breaches of the machine and to avert possible electronic virus attacks
CorINFO e-mail messages can be authored in plain text or rich-text format and can include words from any language (eg. an English message can include some words in Greek, some words in German and some words in Cyrillic), for it supports the following SMTP/MIME Character Set Code Standards:
- ISO-8859-1: Latin 1, Western Europe, Albanian, Catalan, Danish, Dutch, English, Faeroese, Finnish, French, Galician, German, Icelandic, Italian, Norwegian, Portuguese, Spanish, Swedish.
- ISO-8859-2: Latin 2, Central and Eastern Europe, Croatian, Czech, Estonian, Hungarian, Latvian, Lithuanian, Polish, Romanian, Slovak, Slovene.
- ISO-8859-5: Latin 5, Cyrillic: Bulgarian, Byelorussian, Macedonian, Russian, Serbian, Ukrainian.
- ISO-8859-6: Latin 6, Arabic.
- ISO-8859-7: Latin 7, Greek.
- ISO-8859-8: Latin 8, Hebrew.
- ISO-8859-9: Latin 9, Turkish.
- ISO-8859-11: Latin 11, Thai.
- ISO-2022-cn: Chinese-Simplified.
- cn-big5 (1984): Chinese-Traditional.
- ISO-2022-jp: Japanese.
- ISO-2022-kr: Korean.
Multiple Input Devices & Touch-screens
CorINFO supports a number of input devices, including Keyboard, Mouse and Touch-screen, and provide an array of build-in security, monitoring and reporting functions that address the unique needs of public information kiosk networks. CorINFO automatically recognizes all the available input devices on the Kiosk Terminals, as such, the same Kiosk Application can run, without any modifications, on a Kiosk with a Touch-screen a Keyboard and a Mouse, as well as, on a Kiosk with just a Keyboard and a Mouse or a Kiosk with just a Touch-screen.
