Banners with Hot Links
CorINFO supports practically an unlimited number of Advertising Banners. A Banner Box can be added anywhere on the Kiosk screen layout (the application developer can specify the size and position) and can be used to either show a single image or to cycle through a series of images/banners. Each one of the banners can have a Hot Link to a web page, a URL or another file. As such, when a Banner is pressed/clicked, the Hot Link is loaded in the Browser.
A Banner can be an image in BMP, JPG, GIF, DIB, EMF or WMF file formats. Hot Links can be an image in BMP, JPG, GIF, DIB, EMF or WMF file format, a URL or web page, and a file in HTM, HTML, STM, SHTM, XML or SHTML format.
Carrousel/Attract Loop
The Carousel acts more like a screen saver and covers the entire screen of the Kiosk. Thus, Kiosk network owners can use full-screen graphics and full-screen animation and video as an advertising tool and as a powerful method to attract users.
When the Kiosk terminal is idle (ie. there is no action/input from the user) for a specified time duration (the Carousel Timer/Timeout period), CorINFO will display a Timeout Page and, if there is still no action/input from the user, CorINFO will start presenting the Carousel Sequence/Attract Loop. However, if the user presses/clicks on the Timeout Page or an input device is activated (eg. Banknote Reader accepts a payment), CorINFO will resume back to the page that the user was reading.
CorINFO supports practically an unlimited number of multimedia Carousel Attract Pages and, these pages, can be any image file in BMP, JPG, GIF, DIB, EMF and WMF format, with or without a Sound/Music in WAV format and with or without an Animation/Video File in AVI format.
CorINFO provide the option of four different modes that the Kiosk can enter when the Carousel Sequence is interrupted (eg. a user presses/clicks on the screen or a user activates an input device, such as, the Banknote Reader) or when the Carousel Sequence/Attract Loop is completed:
-
Loop Back to the First Page of the Carousel Sequence and continue presenting the Carousel
-
Display the Initial Starting Page, wait for the Carousel Timer/Timeout period to elapse and then start the Carousel Sequence
-
Display the Default/Return Page, wait for the Carousel Timer/Timeout period to elapse and then start the Carousel Sequence
-
Display the Home/Start Page of the Last Language Used, wait for the Carousel Timer/Timeout period to elapse and then start the Carousel Sequence.
Pay-Per-Use Interface
The proliferation of Internet has made the Pay-per-Use Surfing Kiosks and Public Internet Access Stations (usually found in Cyber Café) more and more popular. CorINFO provide all the necessary functionality for rapid development of such applications. It provides build-in support for payment methods, such as banknotes and coins, a payment clock monitoring the time paid by the user, multi-currency support, and pay-per-print capabilities.
Printing Whole Page or Section
CorINFO supports multiple Print Buttons, each with its own settings. For example, a CorINFO application can have a Print Button for printing the whole page of the Browser or the e-Mail Message and another Print Button for printing a section of the Browser Page (eg. a section for coupons, a section for location address, etc.) This allows Kiosk owners to adopt different advertising and marketing strategies, such as, ticketing and coupons’ printing.
Charge per Printing/Ticketing/Coupons
On Kiosks with a payment module (eg. a Banknote Reader), CorINFO can be set to charge a specified amount per printed page. In addition, CorINFO supports multiple Print Buttons and specialized self-service printers, such as the NCR K580, the NCR K590, the Axiohm A220 and the Axiohm A223.
