Product Overview

CorSwitchCorSWITCH is an EFT ATM/POS Switch and is the heart of a Self-Service Network. The strength of the system lies in the overall design concept; it is designed as a series of modular components that are highly parameterized, giving total flexibility in the way that products and/or services can be built without the need for extensive customization. CorSWITCH has three main software modules (the Server Application, the End-Point Application and the Communications & Gateways) and provide various methods of transaction Authorization (Positive Authorization, Negative Authorization, Hot Reject and Host/Processor Authorization), as well as, various modes of operation (On-Line, Off-Line and Standalone). CorSWITCH is currently at the Controlled Product Release stage; General Product Release will be announced in the near future.

CorSWITCH Main Modules

CorSWITCH is divided into the following three main modules:

CorSwitch 1

● The Server Software Application

● The End-point Software Application that runs on the SST (i.e. ATM, Kiosk, POS)
● The Communications (Comms) & Gateways

The Server Software Application collects transaction messages from/to the End-points of the Acquirer and, according to the mode of operation, process or forwards/switches the transaction to the authorizing party or to the End-point. Authorizing party can be the Issuer Bank, VISA, Europay/MasterCard, etc. Modes of operation can be positive authorization, negative authorization, off-line, on-line, or stand-alone mode.

The End-point Software Application runs on the SSTs and it defines the user-interface, monitors and controls the End-point’s peripherals (card reader, cash dispensing, depository, etc.) and, according to the mode of operation, sends, receives or process transactions/messages from the Server Software Application.

The Communications (Comms) & Gateways are different software modules that take care of the communication protocols and they enable the Server Software Application to communicate and share information with other systems and networks. For example, Gateways help the system to “talk” to VISA, Europay/MasterCard, different legacy systems/hosts and other processors and switches.

Authorization Methods & Modes of Operation

CorSWICTH allows various methods of transaction Authorization (Positive Authorization, Negative Authorization, Hot Reject and Host/Processor Authorization) to better suit your operations environment.

Furthermore, CorSWITCH caters for on-line, off-line and standalone operations as shown graphically below:
